Seniors Rock is a group of dedicated individuals who come together every Thursday to lend a helping hand to those in need. Founded in 2012, this group has made significant strides in making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. Over the years, we have undertaken various initiatives aimed at making a positive impact on our community. We have collected books to send our armed forces. We have collected filled pocketbooks so the kids can give to their mom in shelters for abused ladies for Mother's Day. Every summer we pack 100 lunches during the months of June, July and August to give to those less fortunate. This is just a few of our undertaking.
One of the projects that we hold close to our hearts is collecting household items to donate to the Justa Center. The Justa Center plays a crucial role in helping homeless seniors and veterans secure safe and stable housing. Once these individuals and families move into apartments, the Justa Center equips them with the necessary furnishings. That's where our contributions come into play.
Each Christmas, we gather household items, such as furniture, bedding, and kitchenware, to create a warm and welcoming environment for the residents. The Spirit of Hope organization has always been incredibly generous in supporting our efforts,
enabling us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
Beyond our charitable endeavors, Seniors Rock also provides a supportive and inclusive space for individuals to come together. Whether we have a specific project or not, our doors are always open to anyone who wants to join us. We are a welcoming community that values camaraderie and the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations over a cup of coffee and a snack. So, whether
you're a senior or not, you are encouraged to stop by and join our group. Your presence and ideas are always valued and appreciated.
